We all know Italy and France would be at the top, but what about Spain? According to the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service, “France, Italy, and Spain are the largest EU wine producing countries, representing 81 percent of total output, followed by Germany, Portugal, Romania, Greece, Hungary, and Austria.”
If we look at the import value share in the US, Spanish wine only consists of 5.29% of all US imports, which is #7 with multiple countries in front of it.
The Question now becomes – Is Spanish wine the largest growth opportunity for importers in the US?
